This Competition runs on 5fm.co.za from 12 – 16 April 2021.
The Competition is open to persons over 18. Entrants may be Discovery Bank clients and non-Discovery Bank client (“Finalist/s”)
To enter, listeners must enter their details on the Discovery Bank Tap and Win Competition Page on 5fm.co.za
Finalists will be randomly selected from all online entries received.
Finalists will be called live on 5Breakfast, 5Mid Mornings, 5Lunch and 5Drive, from Monday 12 April to Friday, 16 April 2021.
Finalists will be asked to (virtually) tap our in-studio Discovery Bank card for a chance to win.
During every competition moment, our Discovery Bank card will be loaded with a secret amount of credit for you to win.
You’ll need to tap the card and you’ll win the cash amounts read out. But win responsibly and don’t let the card run out of credit.
As an extra bonus, we’ll double your prize money if you’re already a Discovery Bank client. The finalist will have to have a functioning Discovery Bank account (Discovery Bank Transaction account, Discovery Bank credit card, Discovery Bank Suite or any Discovery Bank savings account) by the time they live on air.
The prize will be deposited into the winners Discovery Bank account – if they are a Discovery Bank client.
This will be validated by Discovery Bank.
If the Finalist is not an existing Discovery Bank client, then their prize money will not be doubled.
Their prize will be deposited into their existing bank account.
The judges’ decision is final, and no further correspondence will be entered into.
The prize is not negotiable, and not transferrable.
5FM and Discovery Bank will not be held liable for entries not received for any reason whatsoever and will not be responsible for network connectivity or hardware issues experienced while participating.
A Finalist will not be able to win this Competition if they have won a prize on 5FM within the past 90 (ninety) days, whether on-air, online or via any of the station’s social platforms.
If a winner chosen does not comply with the above terms and conditions, their entry will be disqualified, and a new winner will be randomly selected.
If a winner cannot be successfully contacted, is ineligible to accept the prize, or contravenes the terms and conditions of this Competition the prize will be forfeited.
5FM reserves the right to cancel or amend the Competition and these terms and conditions without notice.
Employees of Discovery, the SABC and their immediate family and friends, are not permitted to enter the Competition.
By entering this Competition, an Entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Neither Discovery Bank (including any member of the Discovery group of companies) nor 5FM will be responsible for any costs that the winners may experience in claiming their prizes
Entrants and winners may be requested to have their details and photographs, or images taken and used, which request they may refuse.
We will share the information that you provide to us with Discovery Bank for purposes of the competition and Discovery Bank will use and process it in accordance with their privacy statement available at https://www.discovery.co.za/corporate/terms-and-conditions/, Section B. You may write to them at privacy@discovery.co.za should you have any questions or concerns regarding how they will use your personal information.
Discovery Bank has the right to terminate this Competition at any time and without notifying Entrants. Discovery Bank also has the right to extend or shorten the duration of this Competition in its sole discretion. In this case, Entrants will have no claim against Discovery Bank or any entity of the Discovery group of companies because of such a termination, extension or shortening.
Neither Discovery Bank nor any member of the Discovery group of companies (including their employees, directors, agents, suppliers and subcontractors) will be responsible for any loss, claim, damage, injury or death that is caused by participation, acceptance or use of any prize in relation to this Competition.
